Contacting a woman for information on a course
Question
Is it haram that I suggest a brother to contact a woman to ask for information about a course. Its emailing her on a cyber security course.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, it is not permissible to communicate with a non-Mahram woman unnecessarily.
A male may communicate with a female out of need, on condition there is no fear of Fitnah.
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
