Transporting Qurans Via Courier

Question

Assalamualaikum,

We are an online Islamic store and we have received numerous requests from people across South Africa who are wanting to purchase Qurans. 

In order to deliver our products, we make use of a courier service. 

Please kindly advise if it is permissible to deliver Quran’s via a courier service?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to use courier services to transport and deliver Qurans. However, the Qurans should be packaged properly and marked as fragile in order to ensure the Qurans are handled with care by the courier.
