Is Wudhu with sunscreen valid?

Question

I have a question regarding sunblock that is water resistant, can you do wuzu on such a sunblock?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, in order for the Wudhu to be valid, water must reach the skin.

Therefore, if the sunscreen is impermeable, such that it does not allow water to reach the skin, then Wudhu will not be valid with such a sunscreen.[1]
