Shaving chest hair to apply medicinal cream easily
Question
Salam hope you are well,
I have rashes all over my body. When I apply medicinal cream, a lot of cream is needed because of my chest hair. Will it be permissible to shave or at least trim the hair so that I don’t have to use that much cream? The cream is very expensive.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It will be permissible for you to shave/trim your chest hair to so that it easier to apply the medicinal cream. However, it undesirable to do so under normal circumstances.[1]
