Leading the Fardh Salah of Zuhr without performing Sunnah Muakkadah
Question
Can a person do Imamat of zuhr salah if he hasn’t prayed the four rakat sunnah before zuhr?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The four Rakats before Zuhr are Sunnah Mu’akkadah.[1] They should be performed before Zuhr as this was the practice of Rasullullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam).[2]
It is contrary to the Sunnah to lead the Fardh Salah of Zuhr without performing the Sunnah Mua’kkadah first.[3]
Nevertheless, if one has done so, the Fardh Salah of Zuhr will be valid. The four Rakats Sunnah Mua’kkadah should be performed afterwards.

(وسن) مؤكدا (أربع قبل الظهر و) أربع قبل (الجمعة و) أربع (بعدها بتسليمة) فلو بتسليمتين لم تنب عن السنة
صحيح مسلم (1/ 504)
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنْ تَطَوُّعِهِ؟ فَقَالَتْ: «كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي بَيْتِي قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ أَرْبَعًا، ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ فَيُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ

قوله: أربع بتسليمة؛ أي بسلامٍ واحد في الآخر، أمّا استنانُ الأربعِ قبل الظهر فلما مرَّ ذكره، ولحديث: ((أربع قبل الظهرِ ليس فيهنّ تسليمٌ يفتحُ لهنّ أبواب السماء))، أخرجه أبو داود وغيره، وفي ((سنن ابن ماجه)): إن النبي ص كان يصلّي قبل الظهر أربعاً لا يفصل بينهن بتسليم

اس صورت میں فرض ظہر ادا ہو جائیگا لیکن بلا عذر ایسا کرنا خلاف سنت ہے، کیونکہ ظہر کی چار سنتیں مؤکدہ ہیں اور ان کا وقت فرض سے پہلے ہے
