Why are my Duas not accepted?

Question

Why are my Duas not accepted?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu 'alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Allah Ta'ala mentions in the Quran Majeed:

TranslationAnd when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So, let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.

(Surah Baqarah – Verse 186)

Translation:"And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you."

(Surah Ghaafir – Verse 60)

One who supplicates before Allah with conviction will surely have his Duas answered.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) mentioned:

Translation: "Your Lord is Kind and Most Generous, He feels shy that His servant raises his hands to Him (in Du'aa) and He returns them back empty"

(Sunan Ibn Majah 3865)

Supplicate before Allah Ta'ala in the last portion of the night and after the five prescribed Salahs. Consider the following Hadith:

Translation: Abu Umamah (Radhiyallahu Anhu) narrated: "It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, which supplication is most likely to be listened to?' He(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: '(During) the last part of the night, and at the end of the obligatory prayers.'"

(Sunan-at-Tirmidhi 3499)

We further advise you to read Salat al-Haajaat and Salaat al-Istikharah daily and beg Allah to take care of all your needs and Halal desires.

Be steadfast in making Dua and never question why your Dua is not being accepted.

Remember that Allah Ta'ala is As-Samee'-The All-Hearing. He hears every prayer of every servant of His and responds when He knows it is best for His servant.

Perhaps what you currently desire is not best for you and Allah Ta'ala, through His Infinite Wisdom has something better in store for you.

We pray to Allah that He accepts your Duas and grants you a life full of happiness and Barakah. Aameen

And Allah Ta'āla Knows Best
