Clarification – YouTube Query
Question
I want to ask about the process of monetization of youtube channel
firstly is it permissible to earn money through youtube or not?
secondly my wife had created a youtube channel without her voice and photo
and for the monetization the requirement is 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watching so some of her friends are saying that u can spend some money and people are doing business they will provide 100 watch hours for 450 rupees, but I was thinking that it was not ok
so please guide us accordingl.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu 'alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, it is permissible to earn money through YouTube if the content of the YouTube channel is Shariah compliant. If there is any un-Islamic content or adverts on the YouTube channel, that will not be permissible. It is also permissible to pay people for subscribing and increasing watch hours.

قدم الهبة لكونها تمليك عين وهذه تمليك منفعة.
(هي) لغة: اسم للاجرة، وهو ما يستحق على عمل الخير ولذا يدعى به، يقال: أعظم الله أجرك، وشرعا: (تمليك نفع).
مقصود من العين (بعوض) حتى لو استأجر ثيابا
أو أواني ليتجمل بها أو دابة ليجنبها بين يديه أو دارا لا ليسكنها أو عبدا أو دراهم أو غير ذلك لا ليستعمله بل ليظن الناس أنه له فالاجارة فاسدة في الكل

(وكل ما صلح ثمنا) أي بدلا في البيع (صلح أجرة) لانها ثمن المنفعة
