Why is Masturbation, Consensual intercourse and Rape Haraam?

Question

Doing Masturbation is Haram. Doing sex with other women is haram (even with mutual consent ). Rape is Haram.

In first case the person is not harming anyone. In second case both parties liked/agreed and no one is harming others. In third case opposite person forcing and harming with opposite person to have sex.

My question is in first two cases when no one is getting harmed but still it considered as haram Can you explain why it made as haram. I am not denying about anything but trying to understand on what base it made as haram.?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Respected brother in Islam, Allah ﷻ says in the Quraan, explaining the qualities of the successful believers: وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ إِلَّا عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ [المؤمنون: 5, 6] Translation: Those who protect their chastity. Except (They only fulfil their carnal desires) with their wives and with those whom their right hands possess (slave girls), these people are exempt from blame. [Mumin:5,6] This Ayah clearly demarcates that the only permissible ways for one to satisfy his carnal needs are through one’s spouse and slave girls. Besides these two, every other avenue is impermissible. The basis of the prohibition is not “ not causing harm to others”. The basis of the prohibition is the order of Allah ﷻ. Allah ﷻ prohibited Zina and all acts of immorality. Allah ﷻ says in the Quraan: وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الزِّنَا إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَسَاءَ سَبِيلًا [الإسراء: 32] Translation: And do not even come close to zina. Verily it is immoral and an evil pathway. [Al-Israa:32] We are the slaves of Allah ﷻ and we are bound to carry out the order of Allah ﷻ. We believe that Allah ﷻ is Al-Hakeem, The All-Wise. Every order and prohibition of Allah ﷻ is full of Hikmah (wisdom). The wisdom behind the prohibition for masturbation are extensive and uncontended. Excessive masturbation may cause damage to the nerves that allow for the ejaculation. This can cause premature ejaculation. 1 Masturbating can also cause: • fatigue • weakness • early ejaculation • may also inhibit sexual activities with your partner • injury to the penis • vision changes • lower back pain • testicular pain • hair loss [1] These are just a few of the potential harms of masturbation. You may also refer to our recent article on masturbation here. The prohibition of pre-marital or extra-marital intercourse, even if consensual, is full of wisdom as well. Promiscuity has a detrimental impact on building a morally secure society. Promiscuity is considered to be among the most significant threats to the stability of adult relationships, including marriage. For example, a study compared 160 cultures and found that infidelity was the single most cited cause of divorce. In Western countries, it has been estimated that between twenty-five to fifty percent of divorcees cited a spouse’s infidelity as the primary cause of the divorce. [2] Rape is a heinous crime according to western society as well. The sin for rape in Islam as well is manifold and much more severe compared masturbation and consensual non-marital intercourse. This is because together with being Zina, it also causes disgrace and severely harms another human.
