Doubts regarding nikah

Question

Dear imam I have some doubts about the nikah If a girl was asked about his consent at the time of engagement and she was happy . At time of nikah .. witnesses came and asked her to sign the nikahnama that she happily signed but no one asked her any thing verbally. The bride father was also present in the nikah ceremony and he appointed his uncle as a wakeel . Qazi/ nikah khawan asked the groom that he accepts the girl in his nikah and groom accepted it in the presence of bride’s father ,wakeel , witnesses and all the guests . Is this procedure of nikah is valid?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Sister in Islam,

The bride’s signing of the nikahnama is sufficient proof that she had given consent to the nikah.[i] Hence, the nikah was valid. Dispel any doubts regarding the nikah.
