Supplying an alcohol manufacturing company - Is it permissible to work for such a company?

Question

Asalaam Hu alaikum

Apologies for the direct email, i was unable to register successfully on the website.

I've been offered employment (in the supply chain division) at a company that provides hygiene products and services to a wide variety of customers in different industries. Among the customers of this company is companies in the Alcohol manufacturing industry. 

Please advise if it is permissible to work for such a company where alcohol manufacturers are part of their client/customer base.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If you are not directly involved in selling the alcohol and you are merely supplying the company, then your job will be permissible.

Therefore, it will be permissible for you to work in the supply chain division of the company.
