Books of lives of Salafus Saliheen and commentaries on Hadith
Question
Asalaamu alaikum,
I have read hayatus sahaba are their any books on the lives of the tabieen and taba i tabieen the first three generations the pious salaf. Fatawa 36915 the portraits of the lives of successors by abdur rahman basha no longer is available for purchase are there other or any books on the immediate generations after the sahabah RA which the prophet saws mentioned as best of generations in english that i may study?
Also i have read hadith commentaries riyadus saliheen 40.hadith nawawi provisions for seekers and fazail e amaal vol 1 & 2 are there any other hadith commentaries one can read in english to gain knowledge? inshaAllah
Please respond as i have sent many questions to askimam website but have not got any response in 3 years please help inshaAllah.

For books in English on the lives of the Tabieen and Tabaut Tabieen, you may refer to the kitaabs written by Mufti Afzal Hoosen Elias Rahimahullah, such as 100 stories of Imam Abu Hanifah, Imam Shafi’e, Imam Malik, Imam Ahmed Bin Hambal (Rahmatullah Alaih).[i]
The following Kitaabs are beneficial for gaining knowledge on Hadith:
1. Ma’aariful Hadith by Molana Manzoor Numani Saheb Rahimahullah.
2. Khasail e Nabawi by Sheikhul Hadith Molana Muhammed Zakriyyah Rahimahullah.
3. Muntakhab Ahadith by Molana Yusuf Kandehlawi Rahimahullah.
The Fazail e Sadaqaat, Fazail e Hajj, Fazail e Durood etc. of Sheikhul Hadith Molana Muhammed Zakriyyah Rahimahullah are also very beneficial.
