As salaam alaikum wa rehmatullahi wa barakatahu Mufti Saheb, Can I give zakaat to my sister who is very poor? but I'm ashamed to do so please advice Jazaak Allah Khair.

Answer

If your sister is not Saahib-e-Nisaab, it will be permissible for you to
give her Zakaat. You may give it to her as a gift.
