William John HV Bond - Is it approved by Mufti Ebrahim Desai?

Question

Salaam Alaikum,

I recently invested in a Bond which was given a Islamic Compliance Certificate by GIFS (Mufti Ismail Desai- S.Africa). I wanted to be sure it is apporved by GIFS. Can you confirm William John HV Bond is approved by yourself.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahib does not know anything about William John HV Bond and has not approved it.

GIFS is an independent organization and not related to the Darul Iftaa.
