The privileges parents who experience a miscarriage may encounter in the hereafter

Question

Where is the following narration located:

“If a women lost her baby to miscarriage and she is destined for hellfire, her baby will use its umbilical cord to pull its mother in Jannah”.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The narration you are probably referring to is,

Translation: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The miscarried foetus will plead with his Lord if his parents are admitted to Hell. It will be said: “O foetus, who pleads with his Lord, admit your parents to Paradise.” So, he will drag them out with his umbilical cord until he admits them to Paradise. (Ibn Majah, 1608)[i][i]

Another similar narration,

Translation: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! The miscarried foetus will drag his mother by his umbilical cord to Paradise, if she (was patient and) sought reward (for her loss). (Ibn Majah, 1609)

The aforementioned narrations can be located within Sunan Ibn Majah. These Ahadith with their supporting narrations are ‘sound’ narrations that may be quoted to demonstrate the esteemed privileges parents who experience a miscarriage may encounter in the hereafter.
