Question
لسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
1.) Can Mutala'aa and Takraar be done in the masjid, i.e. within the masjid boundary, is there any Shari evidence to say that this is impermissible?

Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible to do muṭālaʿah and takrār in the masjid. Masājid are a place to engage in ʿibādah, and discussing ʿilmī topics are a form of ʿībādah. Imām Bukhārī even dedicated a chapter in his magnum opus Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī called "Teaching religious knowledge and giving religious verdicts in the masjid," to highlight its permissibility.
However, one should refrain from being too loud and sitting in such areas where other congregators are doing ʿibādah and performing ṣalāh as not to disturb them.
