Is the flu vaccine provided each year permissible to take?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, it is permissible for one to immunize oneself by taking vaccines which do not contain Haraam and impermissible ingredients.

Hence, in the enquired scenario, if the doctor advises you to take the flu vaccination, it will be permissible to do so if there are no Haram and impermissible ingredients.
