There is a discrepancy in nisāb rates, which one should I follow?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, one must give the exact amount due upon him for zakat and nothing less. The discrepancy between rates will be slight. If one is affected by rates, he should be cautious and give according to the higher rate to compensate for the discrepancy.
