What time is Fajr in Edinburgh, Scotland?

Question

What are the suhoor times for Ramadan in Edinburgh Scotland. As different mosque websites show different timings. I want to know since my son stays there.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, suḥūr time ends as soon as Fajr time begins. However, there is a difference of opinion amongst scholars regarding what time Fajr begins.

Due to the difference of opinion, it would be most cautious to stop eating once the sun is eighteen degrees below the horizon and to pray Fajr once the sun is fifteen degrees below the horizon.
