Is it necessary for a woman to attend Eid Pray.One of local Imam said that like men,it is also more rewardable and wajib for a female to attend Eid Prayer.

Question

Please give us reply in the view of Quran and Ahadith.I also heard that Rassulullah(S.A)liked women pryaer at home(specially in the corner of the bedroom which her husband likes the most)and prayering for a women at home is more rewardable than at Mosque.What is the order of Shariah in this regard. Jazakum Allah Khiar

Answer

It is not Waajib on a woman to attend the Eid prayer. Likewise, for all
other Salaats, Shari'ah has encouraged women to read their Salaat at home.
