Circulating articles which contain pictures - Is it permissible?

Assalamalaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh . By Allah Swt’s hidayah I don’t click pictures of animate objects and i avoid forwarding such articles which contain animate objects . I crop the picture and forward it . I got into this discussion with one of my acquaintances, i had asked the person to send me the picture of the article the person had posted instead of taking a screenshot of it, it was related to the violence taking place on Indian muslims in delhi . The person told to take screenshot of the picture but I didn’t as it had pictures of males . 1.I had thought of taking the picture cropping it and sending only the written material forward to spread awareness . Was i right in doing so ? 2.So the person told this ,”I'm not saying you are wrong but I really do think we need to concentrate on the teachings of Mecca-time than Madinah-time in situations like this .. When the Ummah is burning, one should talk about Emaan and akhira and not think about how one feels about clicking pictures .. Anyway, the conversation can range from whether or not I allow myself to take help from a stranger in an endangered situation to whether or not I'll click a picture of some in-justice happening to be a witness.. Then again, it's all Hikmah and perspective. And it pains me to see Islam being reduced to what is permissible and what it not individually in times like these . Intention n wisdom matters here right .. We aren't looking at non-mehram men but trying to show the world the sufferings of the Ummah.” . So is it permissible to click and circulate articles containing pictures of males n females in such situations to spread awareness of the sufferings of the muslim Ummah ?
