1) Are there any restictions for the husband on seeing his wife giving birth. 2) Is the Husband allowed in the delivery room.

Question

I was told that it is not permisable for the husband to see the wife giving birth, but is the husband allowed to go into the delivery room without viewing the whole procedure but for support to the wife. i.e. only husbands are allowed in the delivery room, mothers are not allowed.

Answer

There is no prohibition in Shariah for the husband to offer support to his
wife during birth.
