What must be the length of the beard?

Assalaamu Alaikum,

I hope you are all dong well with Allahs mercy!

I would like to ask the following questions:

1.) What is the "status" of the topee/khufiya and kurta/thobe in islam?

Is it sunnah muakadah, mustahab,nafil....? With proof from hadith and Quran

The reason I ask this is because I became a hafez at a madrasha where the principal was from a particular khanqah in India. He use to say that not wearing kurta and topee was haraam and as such we attended school, university and now work like that as well.

I work in corporate and this has had an impact on my career negatively as I do not get promiotions etc because of "image" the company wants to portray to clients etc.

Will it be permissible for me to go to work now with a "suit and tie"

2.) What is the length of the beard that needs to be kept? I do have a beard but does it have to be long or can I keep it neat and tidy meaning that the length is kept to half or 3/4 fist. Kindly aslo provide prro from the Quran and hadith saying that if the beard is not a fist length it is a sin.

I am quite annoyed at the fact that there are some scholars that teach deen in the incorrect manner and make you feel as if religion is a burden and that Allah will punish you for your wrongs.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. Brother Umar, We apologize for the late response. The Ulema are bound to inform people the rulings of Deen as understood from the Quran and Ahadith. They cannot give opinions against the Quran and Hadith. If they do so they will be guilty of misrepresenting Deen. They will be answerable to Allah Ta’alah on the day of Qiyamah. The focus of Ulema-e-Haqq is on Allah Ta’alah and to present the correct understanding of Deen. If people perceive such opinions as being hard etc, then that is incorrect.
