Selection of a spiritual mentor

Question

Assalamu-Alaikum Mufti Saheb Can you please elaborate on the criteria for choosing a spritual mentor(shaikh). How does one know that a particular Shaikh is suitable for him .

Answer

Once you come across a Shaykh who is steadfast on the Sunnah and you have
some inclination towards him, you may choose him as your spiritual mentor.
