Fatwa #442619 December 2001South Africa

Does my wudhu break if I change my child's napkin in the following circumstances?

Question

1. Changing a nappy that has only been soiled with urine? 2. Washing a child that has made a stool with my hands, then changing the nappy? Is it necessary to repeat wudhu in these situations?

Answer

Changing a nappy soiled with urine or stool does not invalidate one's wudhu.
