Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
We make dua Allah Ta’ala make the pregnancy easy and grant you a healthy child. Ameen.
A pregnant woman overcoming all challenges that come with the pregnancy, nausea, morning sickness etc, are all acts of Ibaadah throughout her term of pregnancy. She should make dua to Allah Ta’ala to assist her in her pregnancy. However, based on the experiences of Ulama and those that past the different phases of pregnancy, it is encouraged to make lots of Zikr and recite as much Quraan as possible. Allah Ta’ala states in the Quraan:
{وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ} [الإسراء: 82] Translation: And we reveal of the Quraan that which is a source of healing and a source of mercy for the believers.
-Apart from the general recitation of the Quraan-e-kareem, recite Surah Maryam (Surah 19) daily for pregnancy pains and Surah Luqman (Surah 31) during the 1st trimester when the baby’s brain, mental faculties and nervous system are developing. [1] [2] [3]
Reciting the following names of Allah Taála: العظيم (The great), الحي (The ever living), الغني (The independent) are effective for a positive outcome.
▪ We also advise you to consult with a doctor to control your nausea and morning sicknesses.
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best
