Question

About menstruation and spotting

I normally have irregular cycles which vary in length(of clean days) .

The flow lasts for 5 days and then 2 days of stained discharge (upon istinja only ,not on pad).So I make ghusul after 7 days when the discharge is completely white.Normally I don't have spotting prior to the start of menses

But now I have brownish discharge 10 days prior to my approximate date of start of menses .The discharge is was initially brown then turned red stained and brown again only he same day..It does not stain the pad and is only seen when performing istinja.Seeing the discharge I had discontinued the prayers. Now after 1 of this discharge it has become clear and white again.

Should I wait for the three days to complete ( since intial spotting ) to check if normal menses begin or should I continue with Salah?

If I continue Salah due i need to make up for the missed prayers?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Your query is not clear. Please provide us with the following details to give a ruling:

1. What is the total number of days for one cycle?

2. Do you have a regular habit of purity between bloods of menstruation? If so, for how many days?

3. You refer to 10 days discharge prior to your normal cycle. What was the clean period before the 10 days discharge you refer to?

You may email your clarification to: admin@daruliftaa.net  Ref: Ahmed-Ur-Rahmaan Patel

However, we advise that you continue reading Salah until you get a Sharee ruling.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
