Is Islam created by Allah?

Question

Is Islam created by Allah ?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Islam literally means to submit. Contextually it refers to submitting to the order of Allah Ta’ala. Allah Ta’ala is our Creator and Master. We are slaves of Allah Ta’ala. We are bound to submit to the orders of Allah Ta’ala. This submission is called Tasleem or Islaam. Allah Ta’ala tells to Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam):

Translation: “When his (Ibraheem (Alaihis Salaam) Rabb told him, Surrender: he replied, I Surrender to the Rabb of the universe.”

A true believer always submits to Allah Ta’ala. He says: ‘سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا’ ‘we listen and we obey’. A disbeliever doesn’t submit. His motto in life is ‘سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا’ ‘we listen and we disobey’.

Allah Ta’ala is Al-Hakeem (The All Wise). Allah Ta’ala says:

Translation: “The religion in the sight of Allah Ta’ala is Islam.”

Translation: “Never! By the oath of your Rabb, they cannot have Imaan until they make you (Oh Muhammed (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam) judge their disputes and they do not find any dissatisfaction in that which you decide and they accept with complete submission.”

Translation: “It is not proper for any Mu’min man or woman to exercise any choice in their affairs when Allah Ta’ala and his messenger have decided a matter. The one who disobeys Allah Ta’ala and His Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam) has certainly deviated in a clear manner.”

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best

“If a saint regards a sinful person to be a criminal, that makes the saint a criminal. A sinful person can become a saint and a saint can become a criminal. A saint should not be content with his present condition and a sinful person should never despair.
