Using Masjid funds for bonuses
Question
assalaamu walikum,
I am a member of the finance committee of a musjid in the greater Durban area and would appreciate your advise on the following
Can we pay bonus from the Musjid Funds to the staff (Imam / Muazzien & security) and the Madressah Staff (Mualimahs) taking into account that our Madressah fees covers approximatley 80% of the income for monthly salaries and this expense was not calculated for when structuring the fees.

In order for us to advise you, kindly inform us what is the source of the Masjid funds. How is it acquired? Do the donors give donations in general to the Masjid and all its affairs? You may respond to admin@daruliftaa.net Ref Mahmood Suliman.
