I am married in "community of property".Is it permissable in Islam. If not why and what can I do to change it? Jazakallah.

Answer

The only marriage contract in South Africa acceptable in Shariah is the
Antenuptial Contract (ANC) without accrual. If you have a community of
property contract, you should change it to ANC without accrual. For that,
you may consult a legal advisor.
