Indigo Dye With Henna
Question
Assalamu Alaikum,
I have a question regarding the use of indigo after henna as a two-step process to achieve dark brown/black hair. Henna can give a reddish/orange tone to grey hairs, which looks unnatural. Using indigo after henna is used to give a dark brown/black final color to the hair. Henna is red and indigo, I believe, is a blue-green color so mixing the two colors gives you a dark color in the end. Is this permissible in Islam?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible to dye the hair any color besides black. You may dye your hair indigo after using henna to get a dark color.[1]
