Please list, what actions can be performed by me to provide Sawaab to the Ruh (Soul) of my ancestors?

If there are any related Ahadith on this topic, I?d really appreciate if you could list those as well.

Answer

To make Isaal-e-Sawaab (pass reward) by performing acts of virtue, giving
Sadaqaat reciting Qur'aan, etc. is proven from the Hadith. Hadhrat Sa'd
(Radhiallaahu Anhu) and said, 'Umm Sa'd (mother of Sa'd) passed away. What
should I do?' Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'Dig a well (in
order to provide water).' Hadhrat Sa'd dug a well and said, 'This (the water
of the well) is for the reward of Umm Sa'd.' (Mishkaat - Chapter of
Sadaqah).

One may do any act of charity within one's means.

#46931. If one asks Allah S.W.T. to provide the Sawaab of his good deeds (like Quranic recitation) to several deceased friends, relatives, and ancestors, will this Sawaab be divided and hence reduce?
