Can I pray with leather from a non-Halal source on me?

Question

I own a leather jacket and a leather wallet. Both of these things are from the skin of a cow that was probably not sluaghtered according to Sharia. Is my prayer invalid by having the leather jacket on, or having my wallet in my pocket. Jazak Allah khair.

Answer

In principle, tanned skin of an animal besides a pig is pure. It is
permissible to wear a leather jacket and keep the wallet from tanned cow
skin.
