Is shrimp Haalal?

Answer

According to the three Madhaahib, viz. Shaaf'ee, Maaliki and Hanbaliy,
Shrimp is permissible, irrespective of it being fish or not. However,
according to the Hanafi Madhab, shrimp is not permissible as it is not fish.
