Throwing a paper in the bin on which Abdur-Rasheed is written

Question

If someone writes abdul Rasheed on a paper which is a friends name, can we throw this paper in the bin? Rasheed is one of the names of Allah

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is not permissible to show disrespect towards the name of Allah Ta’ala, hence this paper may not  be thrown in the bin. The name of Allah deserves utmost amount of respect even if one intends disposing it. It may be buried in a safe place or put in running water. If that’s not possible then burning it is allowed but not preferable. [1]
