What is the meaning of the name Hanaan?

I hope Mufti Saheb is in the best of health.
What is the meaning of the name Hanaan?
Is it permissible to keep a baby girls name Hanaan as I have heard it is a unisex name thus one should refrain from keeping it.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
As-salaamu `alaykum wa-ramatullahi wa-barakatuh.
The name Hanaan or Hannaan (spelt as حنان in Arabic) means sympathy, compassion, kindness and love.[1]
We advise Hanna (حنه) instead for a girl. Hanna has the same meaning as Hannaan.[2]
And Allah Ta`ala Knows Best.
