Where can I find this hadith?

Question

Assalaam Wa'alaikum

I came across this hadith "Beware! Whoever is cruel and hard on a non-Muslim minority, curtails their rights, burdens them with more than they can bear, or takes anything from them against their free will; I (Prophet Muhammad) will complain against the person on the Day of Judgment." (Abu Dawud) on the internet. I tried finding it on Sunnah.com but did not manage to - so I would like to know the exact source to this hadith. I do not doubt the authenticity of it at all, as I highly respect the teachings of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). I would just like to know where I can find it as well as other hadiths.

Jazak'Allah Khair

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Hereunder is the Arabic version of the hadith with its translation and reference.

“Beware! Whoever is cruel and hard on a non-Muslim minority, curtails their rights, burdens them with more than they can bear, or takes anything from them against their free will, then I will complain against the person on the Day of Judgment.” [1] (Abu Dawud, volume 3, page 3, Darul Minhaj)
