Can i show cartoons to my children?
Question
Can i show animated islamic cartoons to my kids or they come in ruling of photography which is haraam..???im so confused about it ..because the characters in islamic cartoon are man made..they are not real..please reply

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
You refer to only the photography aspect in cartoons. Whilst photography is prohibited, that is not the only aspect of prohibition in cartoons. There are many prohibited aspects in cartoons. For example: music, intermingling of sexes, improper dressing and talk. All these issues desensitise children from the Islamic values of prohibition of music and intermingling of sexes etc.
It is not permissible to show your children cartoons due to the many spiritual harms in cartoons.
