What and where is Qurasan?

Khurasan, is a historical region and realm comprising a vast territory now
lying in northeastern Iran, southern Turkmenistaan, and northern
Afghaanistan. ` (Britannica)

There are many narrations regarding Khurasan. From amongst these narrations
many incidents have already transpired. A few narrations relating to the
signs of Qiyaamah are mentioned below:

Rasulullah Sallalaahu alaihi wasallam mentioned: When you see black flags
approaching from Khurasan then proceed towards it for verily the Khalifa of
Allah will be amongst it. (Mishkaat p.g 471)

One narration states: "Go towards it ( the black flags) even if it means
crawling upon snow." (Albidaayah vol,6 p.g 184)

Another hadith mentions that Dajjal will also appear from Khurasan and
people with flat faces with protruding foreheads like flattened shields
will follow him. ( Albidaayah vol,6 p.g 184)
