Joining a funeral plan
Question
Is it allowable to join a funeral plan with no intention of using the payment.?
In order for me to move to the highest rewards level of eBucks I need to add certain products to my basket. The cheapest would be a funeral plan. The benefits from this far outweigh the costs of this. Would it be possible for me to join a funeral plan which would move me to the highest level. I have no intention of using the money from this and would specify to Mt family that they should not use it.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
You did not specify the type of funeral plan. Nevertheless, if you are referring to a conventional funeral plan then that is not permissible.
To enter into a prohibited contract is also prohibited even though you do not intend to use the payment.
