Zakat money for building masjid

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Zakat must be given in the ownership of a Muslim who is poor and needy.

Zakat money cannot be used for purchasing land or building of a masjid or markaz.[1]
