Answer

The Arabic script has been posted onto our alinaam website. You may view the%0D%0AArabic Du'aa at www.alinaam.org.zalibraryqunoot.htm%0D%0A%0D%0Aand Allah Ta'ala Knows Best%0D%0A%0D%0AMufti Ebrahim Desai%0D%0AFATWA DEPT.%0D%0A%0D%0AHadith 1%0D%0AHadhrat Nu'maan ibn Basheer (Radhiallaahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah%0D%0A(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'You will see the believers in their%0D%0Amutual mercy for one another, mutual love for one another, and mutual%0D%0Acompanion for one another like a body. When one limb (of the body)%0D%0Acomplains, that effects the entire body by being awake and having fever.'%0D%0A(Mishkaat pg.422; Qadeemi)%0D%0A%0D%0AHadith 2%0D%0AHadhrat Abu Musa (Radhiallaahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu%0D%0AAlayhi Wasallam) said, 'A believer to a believer is like a building that%0D%0Astrengthens one another (with each brick).' (Ibid)%0D%0A%0D%0AHadith 3%0D%0AHadhrat Ibn Umar (Radhiallaahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu%0D%0AAlayhi Wasallam) said, 'A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so do not%0D%0Aoppress him and do not hand him over (to the mercy of the enemies when he is%0D%0Ain trouble).' (Ibid)%0D%0A%0D%0AHadith 4%0D%0AHadhrat Aamir ibn Maalik, the leader of the tribe of Bani Sulaym requested%0D%0Athe help of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) against the enemies of%0D%0Ahis tribe. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) accepted his request and%0D%0Asent seventy Sahaaba (Radhiallaahu Anhum) who were Qurraa (experts in the%0D%0Arecitation of the noble Qur'aan). The tribe of Banu Sulaym surrounded these%0D%0ASahaaba (Radhiallaahu Anhum) by a place called Bir Ma'oona and murdered%0D%0Athem.%0D%0A%0D%0AJibraaeel (Alayhis salaam) informed Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam)%0D%0Aof the incident and conveyed to him the heartfelt message of the Qurraa:%0D%0A%0D%0A'Inform our people that we met our Rabb. He was pleased with us and (in%0D%0Aturn) pleased us.'%0D%0A%0D%0AThis incident caused great grief to Rasulullah. Abdullah ibn Mas'ood%0D%0A(Radhiallaahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam)%0D%0Arecited Qunoot Naazila for one month continuously cursing the tribe of Bani%0D%0ASulaym. (Bukhari vol.2 pg.586; Thanwi)%0D%0A%0D%0AIn view of the above, the Fuqahaa have ruled that when the Ummat is in a%0D%0Acrisis, they should follow the Sunnah practise of Qunoot-e-Naazila and make%0D%0ADu'aa for the Ummah.%0D%0A%0D%0AOnce again Daarul Islaam (Afghanistan) and Daarul Kufr (America and its%0D%0Aallies) are at crossroads and we should resort to the Sunnat practise of%0D%0AQunoot-e-Naazila.%0D%0A
