Selling Weaves

Question

Salaam Mufti sab

Is it permissible to sell weaves which are popularly known as Brazilian hair or Malaysian hair etc.?

According to my knowledge they are processed in a certain way before being ready for sell.

Jazakalah

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Artificial hair integrations, more commonly known as hair extensions or hair weaves, add length and/or fullness to human hair. Hair extensions are methods of lengthening one's hair by incorporating additional human or synthetic hair.

There are many products advertised on the market labelled as Brazilian Hair or Malaysian Hair. Please provide details of a particular product in order for us to issue a ruling
