Should Muslims in America do Hijra?
Question
Mufti Saheb, muslims are facing trouble in America. Muslims are being harassed and Islam is being scorned at. There are numerous problems here. Please advise us as what Muslims residing here should do. Jazakallah Khair.
Answer
It was the Sunnah of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) to make
Mashwara (consult) with the Sahaaba when he and the Sahaaba faced any
difficulty and he did not receive guidance through revelation.
In view of the above, the Fuqahaa (intelligent), Ulama (scholars) and
Aabideen (pious ones) should follow the Sunnah of Mashwara of Rasulullah
(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) and decide on the best course of action for
the Muslims in America. If the members of the Shura are sincere and follow
the etiquettes of Shura, Allah will grant Barkaat (blessings) in their
decision.
