Performing Salaah with gloves
Question
Is it appropriate to pray with gloves on the hands? We are in the Winter months and I have noticed some brothers not removing their gloves when praying in the masjid.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible to perform Salaah with gloves. The Salaah will be valid. [1]

فمنها "إخراج الرجل كفيه من كميه عند التكبير" للإحرام لقربه من التواضع إلا لضرورة كبرد

(وأخرج يديه من كميه) عند التكبير وهو أدب وليس بفرض في شيء من الصلاة خلافا لمن لا علم له بالفقه من المصنفين فيه على ما بيناه في الشرح

(وإخراج كفيه من كميه عند التكبير) للرجل إلا لضرورة كبرد
(قوله عند التكبير) أي تكبير الإحرام
