Dear respected brother,I was having a conversation with a fellow muslim brother about whether the Prophets prior to the last prophet (PBUT all)were all muslims.

Answer

The word Muslim is derived from the root word, 'Islam' which means to obey. Every Prophet of Allah (Alayhis salaam) was obedient to Allah and carrying out His commands. Therefore, every prophet was a Muslim.
