How can we obtain tahaarah in our apartment after a dog had been living in it?

Question

We will be moving into an apartment in which the previous tenants owned a dog. We would like to know how we can obtain tahaarah in that apartment when we move. Jazak Allahu Khairan

Answer

It is advisable to wash the floors of the house and the carpets (if any).
Using a shampoo machine to clean the carpets will suffice.
