Is it alright to eat crabs and use salt from the dead sea. Why is smoking allowed in islam when it is harmful for health.

Is it permissible to%0D%0Ause this product and can a physician prescribe such a product?%0D%0AA: Since Allah Ta'ala's punishment descended on that place and when%0D%0ARasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) was returning from Tabuk, he%0D%0Aordered the Sahaaba (Radhiallaahu %C1nhum) to throw away even the bread dough%0D%0Athat contained the water of the Dead sea. However, if there is no adequate%0D%0Aalternative of the product that contains extracts from the Dead Sea, and the%0D%0Aproduct is prescribed by a physician (preferably specialist physician), then%0D%0Ait will be permissible to use the product.%0D%0AIt is not permissible for a physician to prescribe medication containing%0D%0AHaraam ingredients if there is an adequate alternative.
