Question

I am having a test performed on my sperm and the doctor needs a sperm sample. In this situation, is masturbating to produce the sperm sample permissible? JazakAllahu khairan

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible for medical reasons.¹
