Do I have to read tashahhud in the following case?
Question
if i join the jamaat in the second rakat (before ruku), then it comes to the sitting position, should i recite the tashahhud or just remain silent? (since it is technically my first rakat)
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Assalāmu ῾alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi Wabarakātuh
You will have to recite tashahhud.[1]
And Allāh Ta῾āla Knows Best

لما فيه واجبات الشامى والحاصل ان متابع الامام فى الفرائض و الواجبات من غير تاخير واجبة

و فى العلائية بخلاف سلام او قيامه الثالثة قبل اتمام المؤتم التشهد فانه لا يتابعه بل يتمه لوجوبه ولو لم يتم جاز،
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم، اذا اتى احدكم الصلاة والامام على حال فاليصنع كما صنع الامام
