Covering during period
Question
Is it compulsary for women during her period to cover herself from belly button to knees, infron of husband as well, can she just wear underwear? Would like to know whether a wife during her menses, peroid(haidh), is it faraz for her to cover herself from belly button to knees, can husband still look and touch above the knees, and can wife dress with only privates covered during her peroid,? ie. not belly button to knees ?
Answer
When a wife experiences her menstrual cycle, the area between the navel and
the knee is prohibited upon the husband for intimacy.
She is not required to cover that area by wearing belly button garments.
